What is this page for?

This page introduces you to the 1st Deben Valley Scouts, which is Kettleburgh’s Local Group.  For Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, please contact Claire Norman.

Who can join and when does the Group meet?

It is a Cub and Scout section welcoming young people between the ages of 8-14 years. The Group meets weekly on Mondays during term time and is open to Kettleburgh and surrounding villages.  Everyone is welcome at Scouts and it’s a great way to meet new friends and have fun.

What is Scouting?

It is all about learning skills for life.  Activities have included climbing, camping, hiking, cooking, crafts, sports, cycling and beach cleaning. Scouts also support the community and attend the church Remembrance services.  You can find out more about Scouting nationally on the Scouts UK website.

Do you need volunteers?

The Group welcomes new volunteers to help whether regularly or from time to time. We’d love to hear from you - perhaps you have happy memories from your time in Scouts and would like to help the next generation?

How do you join or volunteer?

If you are, or know, a young person who would be interested in joining - or you would like to know more about volunteering - please email 1dv.group@suffolkscouts.co.uk
